Join us for the 44th Dynamics Days US workshop January 9-11, 2026! Dynamics Days US 2026 is hosted by the Department of Mathematics at the University of Arizona (UA) and will take place on UA's main campus in Tucson, Arizona.
We got a late start this year but hope that despite this delay, we will see you in Tucson in January. More information coming very soon!
Previous Dynamics Days meetingsMailing list. To receive news about Dynamics Days, you may subscribe to the Dynamics Days mailing list here. This is a relatively low-traffic list. Note that if you've attended or received news about Dynamics Days in the past, you're likely already on the list.
Concurrent with Dynamics Days US 2026 is a workshop on Horse-Human Partnerships and Human-Agent Teams. This meeting will take place on the University of Arizona campus — one building away from Dynamics Days — with additional activities at the University's Al Marah Equine Center (AMEC). The workshop features topics of potential interest to Dynamics Days participants, including nonlinear dynamics and coupled oscillators, horse-rider synchrony, and AI and human-agent teams. Everyone attending Dynamics Days is welcome to attend talks in this workshop (and vice versa) without additional registration. Activities at AMEC may require an additional fee; see the workshop website for more details.
Talks will start first thing in the morning on Friday January 9, and continue through (early or mid) afternoon on Sunday January 11. There will be an evening reception on Saturday January 10.
We anticipate the availability of limited funding, especially for students, postdocs, and other junior participants. Also, please contact us if you need funding for childcare during the conference.
Abstract submission has closed. If you submitted an abstract, we are working on reviews and will inform you of your status ASAP. Note that due to limitations of space and time, we will be able to accept only a relatively small number of talk submissions. In addition, we will in general be able to accept at most one submission per presenter (though a researcher can appear as coauthor on multiple submissions).
Registration fees are
You may register here.
We have funding for a limited number of travel awards. Exact amount will be decided based on need and on availability of funding; we currently expect award amounts to range from $350 to $700. To be eligible for a travel award you must (i) submit an abstract and present your work as a talk or poster; (ii) register for the conference; and (iii) be based at a US institution (this is a requirement of our funding sources). If we receive more applications than we can support, we will prioritize to students and postdocs.
Please fill out this form to request support. If you need additional support for childcare during the meeting, you can also indicate this on the form.
We have reserved a block of rooms at Tucson Marriott University Park. To receive the conference rate of $164 / night, reserve a room by December 12, 2025.
Visitors flying to Tucson can use either Tucson International Airport (TUS) or Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX). Note flights are sometimes significantly cheaper to PHX than to TUS. From PHX, Groome Transportation runs a shuttle directly to the ENR2 building where the workshop will be held (use the "University" stop). The conference hotel is a short walk away.
